Greetings from up the top end.
Seems that the satellite connection with PanAmSat is holding so I’ll get this one in before it cuts out. I get about an hour or so of un-interupted flow and then it goes.
Something to do with the small dish and the signals up here. Lots to do with the location.

I’ve now been here for four days and starting to settle in amongst the Martu Wangka mob.
It’s a full-on all day / night experience and I just love it here. Dust everywhere, crystal quartz rocks poking up through red sands and river beds. Tin houses and Toyota troopies as far as the eye can see.
The big clear skies, hard mineral water ( that kills washing machines in a year ) , the beautiful full-of-life kids in the school, the amazing stories and openness of the community.
LearnScope is also a big family of mine and I love just bringing this whole thing together. Bringing Lesley Yasso and Jude Cooke’s mob closer to this mob.
The Parnngur Community welcomes the connections. Something I hope that Jude, Lesley and others will talk to and about when I get back.
This is a big land.
This is a young country filled with people’s from all the globe.
I come out here to better understand my spiritual connection with the land.
I’ve been working with this mob and now have a MediaWiki installed and and Wordpress blogging environment on the go.
The MediaWiki serves as the schools content management system and kids from kindy up have been using the Wordpress as their collaborative authoring PLE. No more Microsoft drafts in isolation.
The diference in the way kids work when they can see others work in front of them and FEEL the connection is amazing. I love WordPress for that.
I see this initiative of Trish Everetts ( principal ) and mine as supporting the lands up here and the people are liking the open way of working.
This is my land only because I’ve been granted connection with it. I feel for those still trying to put their feet down onto it.
I’ll be back soon after seeing my daughters in Melbourne. Lot’s to do.
