Date: Monday 24th September 2007
Time: 10am - 4pm
Venue: Rydges Hotel, Wollongong
Further Details available on the Event page on the wiki.
We’ve been pulling together all the details of our upcoming Regional Event in Wollongong today - which will focus on Virtual Worlds and the possibilities they offer to VET.
As described via the Event page:
Virtual learning spaces & places have become a hot topic within the VET sector as we investigate ways to use simulation and virtual spaces for educational purposes. This event will showcase a range of virtual spaces and places being used in and around VET.
Go Virtual 07! is set to be an exciting day of sharing and exploring this cutting edge domain - with participants invited to engage in both presentations and hands-on workshops in both Second Life and Adobe Connect during the event. Don’t forget to pack your laptop!!
Also planned are some great keynote presentations from Sean FitzGerald and Dr Angela Thomas and we’ll finish up with an international panel discussion on the possibilities virtual worlds offer us in VET.
The other exciting thing to note is that we’ll be broadcasting some of the event into Second Life - so virtual participants are also welcome. You’ll be able to engage in what’s going on in Wollongong at the real life event via live stream at my new virtual island in Second Life - jokaydia. Some of our presenters will even share their work with us from inside Second Life!
How to participate?
